Tuesday’s Adoptable Dog

Petfinder.com has an awesome twitter campaign each Tuesday called Tweet A Pet Tuesday. Pet bloggers, and other pet lovers, simply find a pet on Petfinder.com and then click the Twitter icon to post to their Twitter account, so others will be able to visit the pets page. Once you click the Twitter icon all you need to do is add the hashtag #TweetAPetTues and you’re ready to post. So, this is how your Twitter message should appear:
#TweetAPetTues Adopt Pumpkin: Beagle, Golden Retriever on @Petfinder http://shar.es/0XFZM
It’s a great way to bring adoptable pets to everyone’s attention in hopes that someone will see it and want to adopt the pet.
If you don’t have a Twitter account it’s really simple to sign up for one. You can sign up by clicking here. Once you’ve signed up you can start adding your friends that have Twitter accounts. Don’t forget to add @PetFinder as one of your friends.
My Tweet-A-Pet Tuesday is Pumpkin:
Hi! My name is Pumpkin and I need my forever home. I was dumped at a high kill shelter in OH by my last family. I was a good girl but they decided they didn’t love me anymore. I was going to be put to sleep because the shelter didn’t have enough room for me. Luckily, a super nice lady here in Indy said she would take me. Now I am being fostered at TLPets Doggy Daycare. While I like my caregivers here I would really love a family of my own that I can snuggle up to. I have a decent amount of energy but I am really good at snuggling up to you and taking a nap. If you have room for me in your home and heart please contact TLPets for more info on adopting me!

What a cutie, hopefully she will be adopted soon. I just don’t understand today’s mentality of if we don’t like a member of our family we can get rid of it. My dogs have a home for life.
