Random Thoughts

Several weeks ago I posted about a runner we got from CSNStores.com.  The have a wide selection of  modern rugs available.  Here is the link to the review. We have a hallway that has original wood floors and the girls run back and forth, chasing balls and toys.  Their nails wreak havoc on the floors, so we decided to get the runner to help.  Well, we are thinking about getting the rug to match.  Our dining room is connected to the hallway and I think it would look much better if we had the matching rug.  As you know, CSNStores.com has all your home makeover needs.  LOVE them.

I am so completely and utterly sad to say that I was not chosen to be sponsored at BlogPaws West.  I know, I know.  How could they not pick us?  Well, I have cried over it and I am really heartbroken because I think this would have been a super opportunity for me and Doggies and Stuff.  So, I hang my head low, tail between my legs, and walk away with pride.  I may have had an opportunity to attend via a pet food company but for a number of reasons, I cannot support this pet food company, and I want to keep my dignity.  I won’t mention the name here.  Perhaps I’ll get lucky next year.  I look forward to hearing the reports from the conference.  I have a number of ani pal friends going, so I’m sure it will be a blast.

I was featured in an Associated Press story last week.  I’m a little sad that my local news didn’t pick it up but it did get on MSNBC online, ABC News online, and Chicago Tribune online.  YAY me!  It was actually sad and I had a hard time telling the story.  I got choked up a few times.  However, the writer was fantastic and I think she did a great job of covering different view points for handling the death of a pet.  Bravo, Sue!  Well written.
