Random Thoughts

I’m still crushed that I can’t go to BlogPaws West.  I really do want to go.  I feel like I learned so much at the last one.  I’m hoping by some miracle that a sponsor will appear for me.  I keep rubbing the genie lamb.

I know some of my loyal readers that post often and enter sweepstakes but I want to know who you are, so we can be friends.  I know we all have some things in common and I would love more dialog with you.  I know you are all pet people, a majority of you are anyway.  How many pets do you have?  Do you have cats and dogs?  What are their names and what is their story?  Where are you from?  I know I can get neat little widgets that I can put on my blog that tells me where you are visiting from but I have enough stuff cramming my sidebars. )  What do you guys do?  Stay at home moms?  Work full-time?  Kids?  I don’t want to pry too much but I do see some of you here quite a bit and it would be nice to know a little bit more about you.  Just saying. :giggles:

Kiko and I visited the Southside Shelter again this past Sunday.  We are working with a company called One Dog One Bone.  They make super cute dog pools and we got 4 of them: 2 Bone pools and 2 Paw pools.  We are delivering them to a couple of local shelters.  I don’t want to say too much yet, because I will be posting a review soon, but I did want to tell you that Kiko and I had a blast.  Rodeo, who is waiting for his forever home, was hilarious and couldn’t stop splashing around in the pool.

Speaking of Rodeo, he is my #TweetAPetTues for Petfinder.com.  You may have seen my post last week about what that is.  You can read about it here.  Basically, every Tuesday you find an adoptable pet on Petfinder.com and Tweet about the pet, in hopes that someone, somewhere, will see that adorable little face and want to take him/her home.

The Obsession: Coconut!  Our good friend Carol over at Bloomingtails Dog Boutique introduced the girls to Coco Therapy.  To be continued…..

We have 25 companies signed up for our Holiday Gift Guide already!  Human and Pet Products!  Exciting stuff!  I know!  I know! It’s only September.  August to be exact!  Hey, I need to plan.  I’m a planner.  Planning is what I do best.  I was thinking I would run it from November 22 to December 23.  However, I think I may need to start earlier, to make sure people have time to place orders, if they choose to do so, with the companies I am highlighting.  Thoughts?

I’m officially 28 days away from turning 42. :sighs:  I feel like I have to body of a 90 year old.  No joke.  Between the Degenerative Disc Disease, Arthritis and Oesteopenia in my hips…yeah.  No fun.

Did you know that I love dogs?  So, when a few companies on Twitter tried to get me to hook up with them and be their friend this week and last, I posted, “@NameofCoHere Thank you for the follow but I in no way, shape, or form support breeding.  Don’t Shop! Adopt! Really?  Do some of these companies actually think I want anything to do with them when they are promoting breeding?  No thanks.  Pass.  Clearly they didn’t take the time to read my blog.  It didn’t take long for the “unfollow” to happen!  LOL!  Sorry, I speak my mind and speak for animals.  Who is the latest?  I thought you’d never ask:  http://twitter.com/dogbreeders
