Review and Giveaway: Guard Well™ by Earth Heart™, Inc. *ENDED*

Sometimes I come across those products that simply “WOW” me. I’m not sure about you but when those products cross my path I have to tell everyone, which is why I am posting this. I was introduced to a product from the company Earth Heart™, Inc. and wanted to learn more about them because I thought that product was pretty pawsome.   That product will be the topic of another post in the coming months but first I want to tell you about another product Earth Heart™, Inc. has developed. The product is called Guard Well™ and it earned a “Best Products” seal for 2010 from FIDO Friendly magazine. Those seals don’t come easy, so I knew Guard Well™ had to be special. I was right.

What is Guard Well™? Directly from their website:

Help nurture a natural state of health, and relieve itching, swelling and other minor ailments after exposure to lawn or pool chemicals, pollens and other irritants, viruses, bacteria or long-term use of medications.

Ingredients: Water, polysorbate 20; pure essential oils of niaouli, ravensara, frankincense; potassium sorbate.

Aromatherapy has been successfully used for people and pets for many years for all sorts of things like ailments, rejuvenation, healthy living, and more. I know that I would prefer a more natural way of dealing with the girls’ issues they have like Millie’s allergies and anxieties, and Riley’s fear of thunderstorms.  Given the option of sedating them or using a natural product to help with those issues, I am more likely to choose the natural products.

Earth Heart™, Inc. was founded in 1996 by certified aromatherapist and master herbalist Vicki Rae Thorne, who wanted to help people learn how to use herbs and aromatherapy for their health. A member of the Alliance of International Aromatherapists and the American Herbalist Guild, her products are developed with the customers needs in mind, whether it be for them individually, for their family or for their pet(s).

Made with pure essential oils, Guard Well™ is aromatherapy that helps calm your dog, helps relieve the itching and swelling from irritants. I would much rather use a product that is natural like Guard Well™, so it can safely be used over and over, without the worry of harsh prescription drugs or over-the-counter medications that just can’t be good for them.

Using Guard Well™ is as easy as pie. You spray it onto your hands and massage it around your dog’s outer ears and abdomen. You can also spray it in the air behind your dog’s head inside the travel crate or car and also directly onto bedding and clothing.

Does Guard Well™ work?  It did for me and for Millie. She was sucking her paw, like always, and I sprayed a little on my hands, rubbed them together and then massaged it behind her ears and on her tummy. She stopped licking her paw and just went to sleep. There was another evening when she was scratching her ear like crazy. Millie’s allergies are generally in the spring and fall but there are times in between the seasons when she has itching fits. This time I sprayed a little on my hands and rubbed the back of her ears and then sprayed a little behind her. She laid down and stopped scratching her ears.  I’ve used Guard Well™ a few times and it seemed to do the trick for me.  You really should try it for yourself.
