Several years ago I found out that I had severe endometriosis, as well as a tangerine-sized Fibroid tumor. Both were wreaking havoc on me. It wasn’t pleasant and the pain was unbearable. There were days that I couldn’t even stand up. I had laparoscopic surgery and a D&C in 2003, and again in 2007. I was fine for a while in between but then the pain would hit me again.
I had just turned 40 in 2009, when the discussions started about the possibility of a hysterectomy. I was devastated, to say the least. This is not an easy topic to discuss with your husband but I had to because he had to know the risks of how this would affect the both of us if I did have the surgery, and also the risks of not having the surgery and trying to have a baby…..at 40. In the end, my health was more important, so I had the surgery in December 2009.
I had about seven weeks off of work. I got bored after the first week, but I was too weak, and still having problems, so I stayed home and mainly in bed. After a couple of weeks I started noticing some changes in myself. I was having trouble sleeping. I would have restless legs and would wake up drenched in sweat. One minute I would be freezing to death, the next I would having hot flashes. I can’t really describe the feelings, other than I felt horrible. I also felt really depressed because all of these things were happening to me and I felt like no one could grasp how horrible I felt.
There is much more I can tell you but I am sure it would only bore you to death. I did, however, want to tell you about a company that has helped me feel a bit better: At Last Naturals. For the past two years I have been on and off medications that were supposed to help with all the problems I was having after my surgery. All of them made me ill and I hated taking medications that made me feel sick.
I tried an estrogen patch and ended up in the hospital with a blood clot. It caused other problems as well. After being hospitalized about five times in 2010, I took myself off all the medications that I was taking in relation to my surgery, and what was supposed to be helping me cope with my changing hormones. I was done and just couldn’t take it anymore.
I started looking into natural products for myself but never really found anything that worked for me. I felt like I was better off just not taking anything. The night sweats, hot flashes, and cold sweats continued until I started taking some of the products recommended by At Last Naturals: Progesterone Balancing Cream, Meno-Herbs 2, and Vaginal Gel with Vitamin E.
