*CLOSED* Review & Giveaway: Arm The Animals!

As someone who has been to a puppy mill, rescued puppy mill dogs, fought for stricter laws on those caught dog fighting and for those watching dog fights, I am all for being a voice for those who do not have one.  I am all for making bold statements and standing up for what I think is wrong or right, which is how I can stand in freezing temperatures holding a sign that simply says, “Don’t Shop! Adopt!” for hours the weeks leading up to Christmas or any other time for that matter.  I have put my own life at risk to save dogs – but I am just one person – there are so many others who feel the same way and who also give so much to help save animals.

Arm The Animals™ strongly believes in saving small rescues who struggle to stay above water, so they give to them – lend them a helping paw because they know that all too often the people operating these small rescues have made so many sacrifices themselves.  Arm The Animals was started by a bunch of friends who all have a concern for animals and who all grew up wanting to make a difference.  I applaud their efforts, not only because they talked about it – but because they are doing something about it!  While they are still a small company, they are really pushing forward and they won’t stop.

Their Mission is Simple: Create killer T-Shirts that make a statement and generate funds for small, struggling animal rescues. We know we can’t save every “at-risk” animal, but we CAN save some… By creating unique, witty, high quality T-Shirts we know we can make a statement AND make a difference. We hope you will support us in this mission to help those who need it the most!

Arm The Animals has incredibly cool designs on T-Shirts, Hoodies, Hats, Stickers and Totes!  Their bold statement and logo might have some thinking the message is not positive, but I personally think it’s a great way to get the message out!  They are not politically motivated and they do not condone violence, despite their logo of Gorilla holding a gun.  What they are about is saving the lives of animals, arming the animals with their voices to make a difference in their lives!

Speak for the Speechless! Defend the Defenseless! Arm The Animals!

When I saw “Defend the Defenseless” it made me think of the organization here in Indy called “Defend The Dogs”, an organization I support and who has been trying to get laws changed to help dogs living in horrible conditions at puppy mill farms all over Indiana.

Here are two of Arm The Animals’ Shelter Partners:

Barks of Love they, “…are not a shelter-we rescue FROM shelters. Therefore we do not have a central location where our dogs are housed. Our dogs are in private fosters homes receiving day to day care by caring volunteers, who teach them to live in a home environment.”

“Our goal is to decrease the total number of animals being euthanized each year. We save dogs from many different situations – Mostly, we pull “death row” dogs from local animal shelters. We provide the daily needed care to keep the dogs safe and happy.”

Please visit their website and support them in any way you can!

My name is Elizabeth “Elle” Wittelsbach. I am the Founder of Strangest Angels Animal Rescue. I have always had a deep compassion for and connection to animals since I was a child. I am honored to be an animal rescuer.

I call My rescue Strangest Angels because I rescue anything with a pulse and I will do it in my favorite dress. Although I try and help all kinds of animals, in all kinds of situations, my main focus are the animals on the euthanasia list at the animal shelters.

Those animals need help right away! Once animals hit the red list I do my best to pull as many…

I received a hoodie for my husband and I can tell you that the fabric is really soft, very comfortable and well-made!  Kiko wanted Caleb to hold her, so she got in one of the pictures with him! She’s so spoiled!

Their FAQ section discusses the types of fabrics used for their products and the sizes available:

Men’s: Fine Jersey T-Shirts – 30/1 Combed Ring Spun @ 4.5 oz. and Preshrunk. Most Charcoal Heather Shirts are 60% cotton/40% Polyester, are a bit thinner, and have some stretch to them.

Women’s: Junior Ultra-Fine Jersey T-Shirts – 30/1 Combed Ring Spun @ 3.7 oz. and Preshrunk.

Women’s V-Necks:100% Cotton, Combed Ring-Spun, Preshrunk, Fabric 50 Single, Super Fine Jersey, 3.2 oz with Self-Fabric Neckband. They are all Pre-Shrunk, and have an inside ATA screen as the label.

Arm The Animals is trying to save animals one shirt, one hoodie, one tote, one hat and one sticker at a time and they seem to be doing a GREAT job!  When you browse their selection of super cool products, you can just see the compassion they have for animals and the drive they have to make their company successful.  With your help, they can keep their mission going!
