*CLOSED* Review & Giveaway: Flea the Scene by Happytails, Canine Spa Line

Spring is upon us and that means warmer weather – so ticks, fleas and other bugs are trying to sink their choppers into our beloved pets: YUCK!  Actually, it didn’t even feel like we had a winter!  It seemed like we only had a handful of days where the temps dropped into the teens!  While I prefer the warmer weather, I do not prefer icky bugs chomping down on my canine companions!  Our dogs need extra protection and there are products that can help with that!  Flea the Scene by Happytails, an EcoWellDog brand, is one of the best products I have had the pleasure of trying out on the girls.  Instead of the horrible smell that usually accompanies all-natural sprays aimed at knocking the socks off of those pesky critters, Flea the Scene has a pleasant aroma!

Ingredients:

Water
Polysorbate 20, Derived from Coconut oil and used to dissolve essential oils into water, without the use of alcohol.
Triticum Vulgare (Wheat) Germ Oil, Natural insect repellent. Contains vitamin E, some B vitamins, zinc and some minerals.
Linum Usitatissimum Flaxseed Oil, Helpful in clearing up skin conditions, relieving arthritic and inflammatory pain, as well as improving over all pet health. Improves the silkiness and sheen of dogs’ coats.
Tarchonanthus Camphoratus (Leleshwa) Oil, splendid insect repellant, its aroma works well to drive away insects and mosquitoes.
Sweet Orange Essential Oil (Citrus sinensis), excellent for dry and sun damaged or mature skin types, Orange Oil also relieves the irritation of eczema.
Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil, while unusually fragrant to humans, acts as a repellent to most insects, especially mosquitoes and fleas.
Citric Acid, Organic acid found in fruits. An excellent all natural preservative.
Melaleuca Alternifolia Tea Tree Oil, Relieves pain, disinfectant; healing to the skin, soothes insect bites.
Eucalyptus Globulus (Eucalyptus) Leaf Oil, A 2006 study found that 40% oil of lemon eucalyptus was just as effective in repelling mosquitoes as products containing high concentrations of the artificial pesticide DEET.
Titanium Dioxide, mineral used as a natural sunscreen and to help brighten the coat.
Olibanum (Boswellia Serrata) Gum, Also known as Indian Frankincense or Soothex, reduces inflammations, reddening and is perfect for dogs with sensitive skin.
Extracts of : Aloe Barbadensis Leaf, Brings immediate cooling relief to fleabites and helps reduce itching. Aloe contains minerals, proteins and enzymes that help soften the coat and soothe skin.
Calendula Officinalis Flower, Herb that brings quick, soothing relief to pain and swelling from insect bites and minor cuts while lending wound-healing antimicrobial properties.
Althaea Officinalis Root, Has been used since ancient times as an anti inflammatory to soothe and heal surface irritations to the skin.
Comfrey (Symphytum Officinale), Herb that treats flea and other insect bites, burns, skin ulcerations, abrasions and just about any other irritation.
Arctium Lappa Root (Burdock), Helps treat flaky or inflammatory skin disorders such as psoriasis or eczema.
Boswellia Carteri Plant Extract, Prepared from aromatic hardened gum resins obtained by tapping Boswellia trees.
Potassium Sorbate, a polyunsaturated fatty acid salt used to inhibit growth of microbes and mold.
Sodium Benzoate, an FDA-approved, polyunsaturated fat that is used to inhibit microbial growth.

Flea the Scene should not replace the prescriptions you receive from your vet, but rather used as an added layer of protection when your pal is outside.  If you are like me, and want the added protection, Flea the Scene is your best bet.
