*CLOSED* Review & Giveaway: SIMPLE GREEN® LAUNDRY

I am a huge fan of Simple Green® products, so I am thrilled to pieces that Doggies and Stuff was chosen, along with a group of other bloggers, to test their new SIMPLE GREEN® LAUNDRY before it hits store shelves!

Whether your pets have allergies or not, using products that are free and clear of toxic chemicals, dyes and fragrances is a given.  When I learned that Simple Green put out a Free & Clear Laundry product I couldn’t wait to try it out on their beds.  Their cleaning products are fantastic, so I knew their new Laundry product would be, too.  Laundry detergent can definitely be harmful to your pets.  Some serious reactions include itching, rashes, redness, loss of hair, and eye irritation.

Simple Green® Laundry, as taken from their website:

Choose Simple Green Laundry 2x to power through tough dirt, grease, grass, food, coffee and wine – leaving your clothes clean and fresh.

This Free & Clear (no scent/no color) formula is:

  • Biodegradable
  • USDA Certified BioBased® Product
  • Chlorine-free
  • Optical-brightener-free
  • Traditional and HE machine compatible
  • Optimized for great performance in hot, warm, or cold water

Details I wanted to share:

  • Simple Green NEVER tests on animals!
  • There is no scent to the detergent but the beds smell clean.  It’s hard to describe what “clean” smells like, I know.  It just had a freshness kind of smell to it.
  • It was easy to measure the amount I needed with the cap that gives you 3 measurements for your various load sizes.
  • Works in top load washers and HE washers.
  • Tough on stains!  No signs of dirty paws anywhere.
  • One bottle equals 100 HE loads and 66 standard loads.
  • 64% of the total carbon content is plant derived, earning the USDA Certified Biobased Product seal.
  • Made in the USA.
  • The bottle is 100% recyclable!

FREE SHIPPING CODE!

Simple Green® Laundry is not available in stores until later this year but it is available online HERE for only $10.99!  This is truly a deal because you are getting a lot of loads out of this one bottle!  If you don’t want to wait for this product to hit stores I have a FREE SHIPPING CODE, which you can use on your total Simple Green purchase – not just for the Laundry product!  See other Simple Green products HERE and use this code at checkout: BLOG2012!  This special code is valid until August 31, 2012.

My pet cleaning tip is to have a set place to put on the leash/harness. After a few “excitement” piddles on the carpet, we moved Sissy’s harnessing spot onto the tile. That way if an accident happens it’s easy to clean up. I also have a steam mop for the tile and kitchen floor. That way, we don’t use any harsh chemicals on the floor.

My tip is cleaning our dog’s paws, nose, mouth, and his *sensitive* areas (where pee and poo come out) after we come back from a walk. We walk around the apartment barefoot, so we don’t want Dumpling tracking in any dirty stuff!

My favorite cleaning tip is to soak pet bedding with Oxiclean, then wash with Oxiclean, any liquid laundry detergent (no detergent pacs or powder), and Febreze Laundry Odor Eliminator. All the bedding smells really good and has been deep cleaned. Also, make sure to give your dogs a good bath while the bedding is being washed. The dogs will smell good from having had a bath as well as clean bedding so the bedding stays fresh longer and so do the dogs.
