HollyWOOF, Distinctive Assets’ 2012 Gift Bags

When I first saw the press release for the 2012 HollyWOOF Gift Bags, I noticed some familiar names; brands we’ve worked with in the past!  Any dog will be very lucky to get such a PAWsome gift bag, especially when our friends at Distinctive Assets are the ones putting them together.  They know their pet-products and know exactly what makes the gift bags work.

Clear Conscious Pet, the makers of SuperGravy™: A New Invention that Turns Any Pet Food into SuperFood™, will be including some of their tasty treats in this years HollyWOOF Gift Bags.  We received their Cruncherz™ ($9.95) in Ocean Dreams flavor.  They also come in Ginger Yaps, Pumpkin Patch and Peace Berry flavors.  Their Lamb Airy Bites™ ($9.95 for 2.8 oz. bag) are one of Kiko’s favorite treats.  These slow roasted cubes of American pasture raised lamb lung are cut into small cubes, for nice bite-sized treats.  She sniffed those right out as soon as I opened the box!

A fork for a dog?  Yes, and I bet you had a double take right there.  Did I read that right – a fork for a dog?  The company is My BFF (My Best Friends’s Fork).  This one really made me giggle.  As if celebs don’t pamper their dogs enough – now they are feeding them?  LOL!  I’m just kidding – actually, there are times when feeding your dog from a fork is needed; some medical conditions requires dogs to eat sitting up and feeding with a fork can help.  You can see above that I tried to feed Kiko with the MyBFF and she didn’t quite get it, so she just tried to lick the food off the top of the fork!  This item is a unique one, so this is definitely a product that is for the dog who has everything or you just want to spoil your best pal!  Each fork has a Swarovski crystal at the handle, which comes in three different colors: Pink, Blue, Clear.  My Best Friend’s Fork sells for $24.99.

MyCustomYogaMat.com makes the cutest Pet Mats in various colors and sizes and yes, even da kittehs can have a mat!  See, we like cats here at Doggies and Stuff!  Customize your Pet Mat with your pets name.  We like this product and think they would make great holiday gifts – or even doggie birthday gifts!  Each Pet Mat costs $28, with an extra charge for additional names.  I’m sorry I didn’t take this out of the package and show it to you with bowls on top.  I am donating this (along with some other items I received) to an event for the Southside Animal Shelter to be used as an auction item.

As mentioned in the press release I received for the 2012 HollyWOOF Gift Bags, “Fetch…for Cool Pets! introduces their new officially licensed Marvel Comics character toys and for red carpets, Marvel and DC Comics Halloween Costumes.”  Kiko (seen above) is sporting a dog tee that reads, “Dog by Day. Super Hero at Night.”  We also received a toy that Kiko is having loads of fun playing with.  You might still be able to grab some of these products at your local PetSmart.

Another product we were able to try out is the Storm Defender and oh boy have I waited to try this out.  We’ve already tried similar products but this is the first time I got to try the Storm Defender on Riley AND it was the perfect size for her!  The Storm Defender is a jacket (It used to be a cape. Literally.) that helps your dog during storms.  It is very easy to put on and has velcro around the neck and around the side to fit it to your dogs size.  Without using any drugs, the Storm Defender is lined with “a special metallic lining that discharges a dog’s fur and shields him from the static charge buildup reducing his sensitivity to the charge.  The dog gets relief, and after a few storms begins to learn that the secondary triggers like rain, wind, thunder, barometric pressure and smells are no longer to be feared.  With the cape on, the dog feels as though he has found a safe place.”
