Sanctuary One is dedicated to being a safe place for animals and a healing place for people.

How long has your organization been operating:

Established March of 2008.

Describe some of your programs:

Some of the programs at Sanctuary One, designed for education and interaction, include:

• Care Farm Volunteering
• Educational Tours for people & school kids of all ages & nationalities
• Community Service for kids at risk, war veterans & the elderly
• Farm Internship programs – World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms, and The National Sustainable         Agriculture Information Service
• Permaculture Education with a certified Permaculture teacher
• Providing a safe & comfortable “forever” home for rescued farm animals & house pets, especially the ill, disabled & elderly that never get adopted

What is your biggest challenge?

To stay economically viable during hard times while rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing domesticated animals.

We love visitors, so take a little trip out to see us. We’re located at the 12-mile marker of Upper Applegate Road, approximately 22 miles west of Jacksonville, Oregon. Call for an appointment before coming: (541) 899-8627. The animals will be waiting for you!
