We are a 501c-3 dog rescue foundation dedicated to rescuing dogs, the day they are to be euthanized, from various Los Angeles shelters and placing them in loving homes. We do NOT take dogs in … we rescue only from shelters. The Ace of Hearts Foundation is in memory of “Ace”, a wonderful American Bull dog who was rescued from death, and touched the lives of many! (Especially founder Kari Whitman!) We rescue all breeds…and don’t discriminate against any!

Here are a couple of available dogs waiting for their FURever homes at Ace of Hearts right now; click their photos to be taken to their page on PetFinder.com:

Bob is an adorable 2 year old English/American Bulldog mix. Bob is extremely friendly and loving dog. He gets along great with dogs and people. Bob doesn’t mind cats either! He is a sweet mild mannered boy who wold do well with kids and grown ups alike. He is a special boy who has a neurological condition that is currently being treated that doesn’t affect him with any pain but causes small disorientation when he walks.

Thelma is a sweet American Bulldog Dalmation mix, who loves to play and adores other large dogs. She is an affectionate dog who needs a lot of activity, and owners who are strong and able to handle such a big girl. She loves people, especially when they are willing to throw her favorite toys. She is also wonderful with other large dogs. She loves children but is currently too powerful for them and needs to learn some manners. She is housebroken and crate trained. Thelma walks beautifully, especially with a “gentle lead.” She will make a great companion for young, active people who are familiar with this breed.
