Pumpkin Oatmeal Dog Treats

It’s all about Pumpkin rigt now. While some get sick of pumpkin, I love it and the girls do, too. The girls rarely come back for seconds because they know I am not a treat machine, constantly churning out treats to them, but they love this cookie!

Pumpkin Oatmeal Dog Cookies

2 C Gluten Free Oat Flour
1/2 C Pumpkin
2 Eggs
1 C Organic Oatmeal (do not use quick cook Oatmeal)
2 TBSP Manuka Honey (This is very expensive honey, which not only enhances the flavor but is good for your pups)
Sprinkle of Cinnamon
Sprinkle of Nutmeg

Mix all ingredients by hand, then roll out the dough and use your favorite cookie cutters. Since we are close to Halloween, I used my bat and Kitty cookie cutters, as well as my dog bone cookie cutter. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until Cookies are browned.

  1. I’d never heard of Manuka honey before,,,have to look that up now…I have to thank you for posting that photo…It makes me feel better to see that someone else makes cookies that don’t look like a food stylist worked on them…Mine always look funky, but that never stops Gizmo from enjoying them and I bet it’s the same at your house

  2. We are going to check that honey. Mom loves Honey. Golden Thanks for sharing. Happy Tasty Tuesday. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar

I use Manuka honey for its healing properties! It’s better than most ointments. I love to cook with it because of its robust taste. I’m going to make my pack these cookies today. They love pumpkin! Thank you for the recipe!

Yes, it does have great healing properties. In fact, my little Kiko just snagged her dewclaw again, so I not only placed the honey on her paw, but you can now purchase Adhesive Pads that you can place on the affected area.

Am I missing something here? There is no pumpkin listed on the recipe and I am assuming that you bake these and I do not see that info either.

Found some cute fox and moose cookie cutters, so looking forward to a some fall baking. It seems pumpkin got left off on the ingredient list. How much did you use?
