The 2013 HollyWOOF A-List Doggie Gift Bags by Distinctive Assets

Headline
On September 26, 2013  in Los Angeles, California, Distinctive Assets, an LA-based entertainment marketing company credited with beginning the craze of celebrity swag, introduced an array of fabulous pet products to 25 stars and their loyal four-legged companions.  These annual “HollyWOOF A-List Doggie Bags” have become an end-of- summer tradition and yet another way celebrities are able to pamper their loyal four-legged friends.

In a town where “it’s a dog’s life” takes on a whole new meaning, dog-loving celebrities shared the spoils of stardom with their “best friends.”  This year’s recipient list includes Tori Spelling, Portia de Rossi, Miley Cyrus, Kristen Bell, Ashley Tisdale, Hilary Swank, Paris Hilton, Drew Barrymore, Kellan Lutz, Kristin Chenoweth, Cesar Millan, Khloe Kardashian, Kathy Griffin, Jane Lynch, Kat Graham, Blake Lively, Paula Abdul, Katharine McPhee, Mario Lopez, Emily Blunt, Kelly Osbourne, Eric Stonestreet, Nikki Reed and Mr. & Mrs. Justin Timberlake.

Each year, Doggies and Stuff receives samples from the HollyWOOF Gift Baskets and donates the samples to our local Southside Animal Shelter, where the items are used in a silent auction at a yearly fundraiser called Pasta for PetsLast years event raised thousands of dollars to help the shelter animals by providing food, medicine, as well as help cover the cost of spay/neuter and medical needs.

Just a few of the brands included in the 2013 HollyWOOF Gift Baskets included Mohawk SmartStrand Carpet, TrueBlue Pet Products, Squishy Pet Products, Revitamal, PawTectors, Petcurean, The Green Garmento, Pet Cooler Carrier, Canada Pooch Dog Jackets, and Krystal Klear Water.

Pet Cooler Carrier
I was very excited about this product.  I know lots of pet parents that take their fur kids everywhere, so this product is a must-have for those who travel with fido, even if it’s simply going to the park with the family for a picnic lunch!  There are so many amazing things about this carrier. I kept learning new things about it at every turn!  Let me explain -

This innovative pet carrier isn’t just a pet carrier – oh no – it is much more.

Above is a photo of the Pet Cooler Carrier straight on.  As you can see, it appears to be just a normal carrier.

However, take a look at the top; what’s that I see?  Perhaps some sort of storage?

Oh, yes.  It definitely looks like storage!

DSCN5047

Ah ha!!!!! STORAGE SPACE!  There are lots of things you can store here: First Aid, Bottle of Water, Small Can of Food and so much more!  Very cool, indeed!  While this area at the top of the carrier is pretty cool – it gets even COOLER!

DSCN5048

And by COOLER, I literally mean COOLER!  You place ice in this area of the unit and it keeps your dog cool when traveling!

And just when I thought I had discovered all the neat things this pet carrier does…….

Water Spout

There is a water valve inside the carrier that gives your dog fresh water from the melting ice on top of the carrier!  WOW!

A couple of little additions to the Pet Cooler Carrier.  There are a couple of canvas curtains with heat resistant inner material & one snap on front curtain that doubles as a pocket with ID window.

I’m not sure about you but this is one of the coolest products I’ve seen out this year.  This might just make our 2013 Product of the Year!  The Pet Cooler Carrier is only available in Small at the moment, but Medium, Large and X-Large units are coming soon.  The small carrier retails for $119.95.  For more information about the Pet Cooler Carrier, visit their website here: http://petcoolercarrier.com

Canada Pooch Dog Jackets

Since we ride to grandmas each morning, we have to bundle up.  Kiko gets very cold, very easily.  She shivers and this is the time of year she burrows to keep warm.  Not only that, since the heat has been turned on Kiko will find a place in front of a vent and plop down in front of it to keep herself warm and toasty.  Canada Pooch Dog Jackets landed in the HollyWOOF Swag Bags this year and also landed here at Doggies and Stuff.

Kiko tested out the Storm Slicker and found it not only comfy cozy but it kept the rain off her.  This waterproof jacket comes in a variety of sizes, three colors, has reflective piping, a removable zip-off hood, functional zipper pockets (All the zip pockets I’ve seen on jackets are there for looks only), has a harness slit in the back, and size adjustable Velcro.  I have to tell you, I was super impressed with the quality of the jacket and it’s very well worth the price tag of $37.99.  For more information, visit their website here: http://canadapooch.com/

Squishy Pet Products

How about some flair for your dog’s collar?  Kiko has a big pink flower on hers and it’s adorable.  The customizable collar attachments by Squishy Pet Products can give your dog a little extra cuteness on various occasions or just because.  Switch them out as often as you want.  Velcro allows for easy on and easy off your dog’s collar.  Squishy Pet Products has a wide-variety of collar attachments, each costing $13.99.  Riley is modeling the LadyBug Love collar attachment.  Super cute! The Green Garmento

I love recyclable bags and this one is the mega of all recyclable bags!  I love it!  Great handles, a snap closure – there is plenty of room for dog toys, leashes, blankets, food and more for your outing with your pup.  There are a number of planet-friendly products at The Green Garmento.  To get a better idea of what they have available, visit their site and check them out: http://thegreengarmento.com/

All of these items are available online.  I want to thank Distinctive Assets again for allowing Doggies and Stuff to review some of these items and then donate them to our local shelter.
